It is safe to say that the 2018-2019 NBA season will be the best that they have had in an extremely long time. Both the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference have teams who are more than capable of taking themselves to the 2019 NBA Finals. There are a multitude of serious title contenders and an incredible amount of sleeper teams people still are not acknowledging yet. With marquee match-ups and holiday games, let’s see what exactly this season has in store for us.

Coming off of a championship season, the NBA Champions the Golden State Warriors are on a red-hot streak. They have won their second title in the past two years and are potentially on the road for their third title. They won their first championship with a record-setting 73-9 win/loss record, and their second title with a 58-24 record.

But, this season will be the hardest that they will ever have to play in. The now-former Cleveland Cavalier, LeBron James, signed a 153.3 million dollar deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. Having a 1-3 NBA Finals record against the Warriors, the veteran all-star along with Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, and other role players now have the chance to reclaim the top once again. But he first must step up to the challenges of the likes of multiple other contenders such as the Houston Rockets led by “The Beard” James Harden, Boston Celtics led by Kyrie Irving and the returning Gordon Hayward, and a huge sleeper team of their own, the Milwaukee Bucks.

Teams particularly like the Milwaukee Bucks are dangerously slept on. Their all-star Giannis Antetokounmpo, to most people, is the only thing that the Bucks have. But based off of the previous season, it is only right to say that Eastern Conference could be theirs to claim. The Eastern Conference has been a free for all since the departure of LeBron James. Another team that is being slept on is the Utah Jazz. Shocking the world last season by beating the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Jazz led by rising star Donovan Mitchell is considered to rise quickly among Western Conference rankings. Having a solid lineup high on role players, they can give some front-runner teams a run for their money.

Since they outworked a team like the Thunder, can they go even further by beating the Rockets? Lakers? Warriors? Can the Bucks climb their way to the top of their conference? Will LeBron dethrone the Warriors once again? Only time will tell what will go down this season. But as spectators, we are in for a treat this season. For this year might go down as the best that they’ve had in years.
